So apparently my brother has been elected President of the University of Toronto's Engineering Faculty's Student government. Congrats!

He won handily with 72.53% of the vote overall.

I just wonder if the voters know what they are getting themselves into?

Good and bad Friday

It is Good Friday. I am still in New York because the powers that be refuse to give the teachers an Easter Monday holiday. BOOOOOOO!

It is a Good Friday after all, I have my federal tax return finally in. However, it is also a bad Friday. I should have had the state tax return payment back as well before the feds. But because of bureaucratic bungling and budgeting, I will not get the cheque until after the start of April because the State of New York has run out of money for this fiscal years tax returns and has to wait until next fiscal year which begins April 1st.

So it is a good and bad Friday after all.

Wonders...

Anybody ever wondered about a decision in their lives?

Ever wonder if you made the other decision where you would be right now?

I wondered last year when asked if I would do the caretaking job I was doing part time for a full time job, where I would be this year and whether or not I would be happy.

Am I happy in New York City as a school teacher? Depends on the day. Sometimes I wonder why I decided to be a teacher instead of something else like a janitor or caretaker.

Sometimes I wonder.

Observation of the day....

Students will not eat a regular apple. You know the ones, the ones with the core in the middle right off the tree.

They will, however, fight over the presliced and prepackaged apples.
